FAQ Viaggiare Rent

Long-term car rental is a vehicle leasing contract that extends for an extended period, usually from 24 to 60 months. During this period, the customer pays a fixed monthly fee covering various services and costs associated with the car, such as roadside assistance, regular and extraordinary maintenance, and comprehensive insurance.

Unlike purchasing a car, the customer does not become the owner of the vehicle but enjoys its use as if it were their own. At the end of the rental period, the vehicle is returned to the lessor with no further obligations, allowing the customer to proceed with a new rental contract.

Long-term rental is an advantageous solution for individuals who cover many kilometers. By choosing long-term rental, an individual does not have to worry about the depreciation of the vehicle and has a single fixed monthly fee that includes the insurance premium, roadside assistance, and maintenance service.

It is necessary for the applicant not to have negative reports with Crif (Central Financial Risks) that could affect their financial reliability.

It is essential to possess a valid and current driving license for the type of vehicle intended for rental.

One must have the latest two pay slips, the last tax return (CUD) or the form 730 with a receipt for electronic submission to the Revenue Agency, or a unique model with a receipt for electronic submission to the Revenue Agency.

Ordinary maintenance consists of periodic checks required to keep the vehicle efficient and prevent breakdowns. These checks consist of inspection and servicing.

The service is a check scheduled by the car manufacturer and must be done after the vehicle has traveled a certain number of kilometers.

The review is a mandatory check required by the Civil Motorization. Through this check, the safety of the vehicle is attested, and its suitability for circulation is confirmed.

Extraordinary maintenance requires that all maintenance interventions be carried out in addition to scheduled maintenance, i.e. those interventions which do not depend on the manufacturer’s maintenance plan and which therefore are not in relation to standard use and mileage travelled, for example the replacement of pads of the brakes, the possible replacement of the shock absorbers or of those components which by default can be considered damaged.

Extraordinary maintenance of the car is a type of maintenance carried out once and includes more complex operations than standard scheduled maintenance interventions. This type of maintenance involves the replacement of damaged or worn parts, such as the gearbox or clutch, or entire engine parts. Extraordinary maintenance is not mandatory or periodic but becomes necessary following unforeseen events.
